1. Eligibility – To be eligible to participate, viewers must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and reside in the KLJB-TV Fox 18 viewing area, which consists of the following Illinois counties: Bureau, Carroll, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Jo Daviess, Knox, LaSalle, Lee, McDonough, Mercer, Ogle, Rock Island, Stark, Warren and Whiteside; and the following Iowa counties: Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Henry, Jackson, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine and Scott. Facebook users under 18 years of age are not eligible to participate. Employees of KLJB-TV Fox 18, KGCW-TV The Quad Cities’ CW, Steak & Shake, Facebook, their parent companies, advertising agencies, fulfillment companies, printers, distributors and mailers and the immediate families (or non-family members of the same household) of each are not eligible to play. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. The term “non-family members” include boyfriends, girlfriends, roommates or tenants at the same address.
2. How to Play – Every weekday, Fox 18 will post an announcement on our Facebook page that the contest is now ‘live’. Viewers 18 years of age and older must log on to the Fox 18 Facebook page, click on the Contest icon below the Cover Photo at the top of the page. Everyone currently following Fox 18 on Facebook is eligible. Viewers not following us on Facebook must ‘like’ the Fox 18 page in order to enter.
3. Contest Dates – The contest runs January 20th 12:00:01am through January 24th, 12:00:00pm, 2014. Winners will be selected and contacted no later than the Monday after each giveaway. Fox 18 reserves the right to end the contest at any time without advance warning.
4. Selection of Contest Winner(s) – Two (2) winners will be selected at random from all entries received. Winners have ten business days in order to claim their prizes. If a winner is unable to claim their prize during that time, they will be disqualified and the prize will be returned to the Fox 18 Prize Closet.
5. Prizes – Two (2) $25 gift certificates from Osaka Buffet.
6. General Conditions – No purchase necessary. Purchase will not improve an entrant’s chances of winning. KLJB-TV Fox 18 will not be responsible for loss of service to internet due to power loss, service interruption or any other reason that may prevent any individual from completing his/her entry. All viewers who have won ANY KLJB-TV Fox 18 or KGCW-TV The Quad Cities’ CW contests are ineligible for 90 days from the date of that contest’s completion, NOT the date of their winning. If it is determined that a winner falls into this 90 day lock-out period, they will be disqualified and another winner will be chosen. ***ALL GRAND PRIZES WINNERS ARE INELIGIBLE FROM WINNING ANY CONTESTS WITH KLJB-TV OR KGCW-TV FOR ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THEIR WINNING** All applicable Facebook privacy rules apply to this contest. Facebook does not endorse this contest; thus Facebook is not responsible for any portion of the execution, awarding or viability of prize(s). KLJB-TV will not share any collected Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with outside 3rd party sources without an entrant’s written consent. By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these rules. Decisions of KLJB-TV Fox 18 shall be final and binding. Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or exchanged. By entering, each contestant consents to the use of his/her voice, name and likeness for broadcast transmission, advertising and promotion in connection with the contest. KLJB-TV Fox 18 makes no warranty, representation or agreement that any videotape or likeness of the winners will be broadcast or otherwise used in any manner. The winners must execute an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and/or publicity release and any other documentation that KLJB-TV Fox 18 requires. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws apply.
