1. Eligibility – To be eligible to participate, viewers must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older and reside in the KGCW-TV viewing area, which consists of the following Illinois counties: Bureau, Carroll, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Jo Daviess, Knox, LaSalle, Lee, McDonough, Mercer, Ogle, Rock Island, Stark, Warren and Whiteside; and the following Iowa counties: Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Henry, Jackson, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine and Scott. Employees of KGCW-TV, KLJB-TV, KBEA-FM, Cumulus Media, Daiquiri Factory, Bottom’s Up Quad City Burlesque, their parent companies, advertising agencies, fulfillment companies, printers, distributors and mailers and the immediate families (or non-family members of the same household) of each are not eligible to play. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. The term “non-family members” include boyfriends, girlfriends, roommates or tenants at the same address.
2. How to Play – Viewers 21 years of age and older must come to the Daiquiri Factory, 1809 2nd Avenue Rock Island IL 61201, dressed as a vampire or their favorite “The Vampire Diaries” character. All contestants must sign in with event officials in order to be eligible to win.
3. Contest Date – Pardi Gras is Saturday, October 5th, 2013 from 8:00pm to 11:00pm. The costume contest begins at 8:00pm, with the winner announced after 10pm. The Quad Cities’ CW reserves the right to alter and/or end the contest at any time without advance warning.
4. Selection of Contest Winners – A panel of judges will be walking through the crowd the entire evening. At 1pm they will confer and select the top four costumes. Since you must be present to win, the judges will pick three alternates, just in case. All winners – 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, 4th Place – will be announced that night
5. Prizes – 1st Place: $500 cash, in the form of a check provided by KGCW-TV. Runner-Up prizes include: A Couples Massage at Serenity Salon & Day Spa ($224, tip is included in prize); a Gift Basket from the District of Rock Island to the 2014 Gumbo Ya Ya (value TBD); Kodak Playfull video camera & 4GB SD card (value $50).
6. General Conditions – No purchase necessary. There is no admission fee to Pardi Gras. Purchase will not improve an entrant’s chances of winning. If there is any interruption of power at the Daiquiri Factory during the event, the contest will resume once power is restored. All viewers who have won ANY KGCW-TV or KLJB-TV contests are ineligible for 90 days from the date of that contest’s completion, NOT the date of their winning. If it is determined that a winner falls into this 90 day lock-out period, they will be disqualified and another winner will be chosen. Grand prize winner is ineligible from winning any contests with KGCW-TV or KLJB-TV for one hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of their winning. By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these rules. Decisions of KGCW-TV shall be final and binding. Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Prizes cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or exchanged. No substitute prizes will be allowed. By entering, each contestant consents to the use of his/her voice, name and likeness for broadcast transmission, advertising and promotion in connection with the contest. KGCW-TV makes no warranty, representation or agreement that any videotape or likeness of the winners will be broadcast or otherwise used in any manner. The winners must execute an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and/or publicity release and any other documentation that KGCW-TV requires. Failure to claim prize the evening of being declared a winner (hence, “must be present to win”) shall result in forfeiture of the prize and an alternate winner will be selected. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws apply. KGCW-TV, KLJB-TV, KBEA-FM, Cumulus Media, Daiquiri Factory, Bottom’s Up Quad City Burlesque, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, and the officers, directors, employees, licensees and assignees of each accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or usage of any prize awarded hereunder. KGCW-TV reserves the right to revise and update the rules without advance notice.

8. Who Won – A list of prize winners can be requested in writing to the address above.
