1. Eligibility – To be eligible to participate, viewers must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and reside in the KLJB-TV viewing area, which consists of the following Illinois counties: Bureau, Carroll, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Jo Daviess, Knox, LaSalle, Lee, McDonough, Mercer, Ogle, Rock Island, Stark, Warren and Whiteside; and the following Iowa counties: Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Henry, Jackson, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine and Scott. Employees of KLJB-TV, KGCW-TV, KBEA-FM, Townsquare Media, Long’s Carpet Interiors, their parent companies, advertising agencies, fulfillment companies, printers, distributors and mailers and the immediate families (or non-family members of the same household) of each are not eligible to play. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. The term “non-family members” include boyfriends, girlfriends, roommates or tenants at the same address.
2. How to Play – Viewers 18 years of age and older must log on to the Fox 18 Facebook page and register to enter. They must then watch Mike & Molly at 5pm and 5:30pm on KLJB-TV from September 22nd through October 3rd, 2014. If they see their name run in a crawl at the bottom of the screen during either episode they will have until 7pm Central Time (CT) THAT NIGHT to comment on the Fox 18 Facebook page that they saw their name in Mike & Molly. If they do not comment by 7pm CT, Fox 18 will declare no winner for that night and will roll the dollar amount over to the next weeknight.
3. Contest Dates – Registration runs from Tuesday, September 16th through Friday, October 3rd, 2014 at 12:00pm Noon. The ‘watch and win’ portions run Monday, September 22nd through Friday, October 3rd, 2014. Fox 18 reserves the right to end the contest at any time without advance warning.
4. Selection of Contest Winners – Each weeknight between 5-6pm Fox 18 will run a crawl during Mike & Molly that contains a randomly-selected viewer’s name. That viewer will have until 7pm CT that evening to respond via the Fox 18 Facebook page. There will be one name selected and announced each evening for ten (10) weeknights. Only one winner per household.
5. Prizes – Fox 18 is providing $2,500 in cash, to be awarded over the span of the contest. Each evening’s prize will be worth a minimum of $250, with each subsequent evening’s total dependent upon the previous evening’s results. For example, if the person selected for the first evening comments on the Fox 18 Facebook page before 7pm that night, they win $250. If that person does not comment in time the dollar amount rolls over to the next evening, making the next night’s prize worth $500. It is possible, though not likely, for one person to win all $2,500. Prizes will be awarded in the form of checks. Checks are cut on an ‘every-two-weeks’ schedule
6. General Conditions – No purchase necessary. Purchase will not improve an entrant’s chances of winning. KLJB-TV will not be responsible for loss of service to the YOUR Fox 18 Facebook page due to internet service loss, power failure or any other reason that may prevent any individual from registering online. If there is any interruption of power at KLJB-TV during the contest play, the contest will be replayed at the resumption of service. All viewers who have won ANY KLJB-TV or KGCW-TV contests are ineligible for 90 days from the date of that contest’s completion, NOT the date of their winning. If it is determined that a winner falls into this 90 day lock-out period, they will be disqualified and another winner will be chosen. All Grand Prize winners are ineligible from winning any contests with KLJB-TV or KGCW-TV for six months from the date of their winning. By entering each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these rules. Decisions of KLJB-TV shall be final and binding. Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged. No substitute prizes, except at the discretion of KLJB-TV, will be allowed. By entering, each contestant consents to the use of his/her voice, name and likeness for broadcast transmission, advertising and promotion in connection with the contest. KLJB-TV makes no warranty, representation or agreement that any videotape or likeness of the winners will be broadcast or otherwise used in any manner. The winners must execute an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and/or publicity release and any other documentation that KLJB-TV requires. Failure to claim prize within ten (10) business days of fist notification of winning from a KLJB-TV representative shall result in forfeiture of the prize and an alternate winner will be selected. If an alternate winner cannot be chosen before the contest ends, the prizes will not be awarded. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws apply. KLJB-TV, KGCW-TV, KBEA-FM, Townsquare Media, Long’s Carpet Interiors, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, and the officers, directors, employees, licensees and assignees of each accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or usage of any prize awarded hereunder. KLJB-TV reserves the right to revise and update the rules without advance notice.
